If you like travelling and experiencing adventures from different
parts of the Philippines, then you may heard the Panagbenga Festival
which is an annual celebration in Baguio City, the summer capital of the
country. Panagbenga Festival or the Baguio Flower Festival celebrates
the blooming season of flowers in the city and also the prosperity that
it had achieved for a whole year. The Panagbenga Festival usually starts
every 1st of February up until the first Sunday of March. And while
you're there, here are some of the things that you can do:
1. One
of the best things that you can do is of course, to watch the Grand
Float Parade which is the main highlight of the festival. But before
watching the parade, here are few tips that you must know. The best spot
to watch the parade is in front row, so you must be there early if you
want to have the best view and it might get hotter in the afternoon. But
if you like watching from afar and escape the ocean of people near the
parade grounds, then the best place for you is on top of the roof,
specifically on the roof of Maharlika building. Locals also say that the
view from the footbridge has the best view of the parade.

Second on the list of things that you can do during the Panagbenga
festival is to indulge in the Baguio's local cuisine. There are many
restaurants that you can choose from but there are those that stand out
as the best restaurants in Baguio. You can try the Hill Station which is
one of the best restaurants in Baguio that is located on the ground
floor of Casa Vallejo. The food is great but it's a little bit on the
expensive side. But I must say that it's worth every centavo. The food
tastes great and the location is also great because it is situated in a
century old building that is recently renovated.
3. The last on my
list is to ENJOY... Your itinerary must be full but be sure to enjoy
all the sights and sounds that this city has to offer. Walking around
the city may be simple but the important thing is that you are enjoying
what you are doing.
